Clouds Seen from Potrillo Canyon Trail Near White Rock, NM
OK, I grant you that Montana is known as Big Sky Country but New Mexico definitely deserves the title too! It always amazes me that for all our aridity, the most amazing cloud shows fill our skies.

Yes, these are nice. Looks like a day with some wind up at altitude. Thanks for your blog, I work overseas and love seeing current scenes from around town, it's what gets me through until I get to come back and be there myself again. Love it...
I was going to call them transient clouds because they are often just passing through and bestow their moisture somewhere else! By the end of my walk, though, there were more clouds than blue sky but still no precip. The next several days saw lots of overcast. Yesterday in Santa Fe, I overheard someone comment "We haven't seen the sun all day!" Unusual for NM, for sure!
